METHOD FOR fertilization AND / OR CONSOLIDATION DRY, AND IN PARTICULAR SANDY AND / OR ROCKY SOIL

In order to make dry, especially sandy and/or rocky ground fertile and/or firm a perforated foil (2), especially a plastic foil, is laid upon the ground (1), whereafter substantially flat, hollow, self-supporting components (4) with a central bore (5) and an aperture directed towards the centre of the component and running substantially along the inner wall of the component bounding the bore, are laid on said foil. Then these components and preferably also the central bore are filled with hygroscopic and at least nitrogen compound-containing substances and possibly seeds of desirable plants like those providing natural shade, grass, ground coverage plants or shrubs, and mixed (damp) soil, and provision can be made for the moisture needed for the plants to germinate. The preferred components are used motor vehicle tyres and use is made as an additive to the soil of processed slurry, sump and cesspit residues or sewage and/or processed paper or textile-containing material, possibly with hygroscopic additives.
