System for the directional carriage of a heavy load

A removable carriage (10) comprises a horizontal chassis (2) with two guide wheel (3) mounted under it. The wheels are connected by two vertical rotating shafts located in two transversely separated positions with a vertical pivot (4) mounted between them. A coupling synchronises rotation of the vertical shafts on the pivot. A steering shaft (6) which is pivoted about a horizontal trunnion (26) can be temporarily locked in a given configuration on the pivot. A transverse vertical panel (8) which slides vertically in the chassis front has a vertical actuator (9) interposed between panel top (43) and the chassis lower part (41). Two coupling fingers (10) are pivoted to the front panel about horizontal coaxial transverse trunnions. Removable locks lock these fingers in each of two different configurations of inclination about these trunnions. Two coupling fixed to the end of the load simultaneously engage the fingers in one of their working configurations.
