Satellite aided map matching method

摘要

The method involves correcting the satellite signal when there is a topographical interruption of the reception of a satellite signal, especially when travelling through a tunnel or under a bridge. The satellite signal at the beginning or end of the interruption is used to determine a correction signal to correct the satellite signals according to the known co-ordinates of the topographical way points. An Independent claim is included for an on board unit for implementing the method.
