PURPOSE: A car audio cassette for maximizing a size of a liquid crystal display unit is provided. CONSTITUTION: A car audio cassette comprises a main body(110) inserted into a cartridge formed on a dash board of a vehicle; a frame(120) being disposed at a front portion of the main body(110) and having a tape insertion hole in its certain front portion; a front panel(125) disposed at the front portion of the frame(120), and tilt-movable from the front surface of the frame(120) to an external direction, a plurality of operation buttons(170) and a display unit(140) being provided to the front surface of the front panel(125); a tilt mechanism for tilt-moving the front panel(125) to the external direction of the frame(120); a guide rib(270) for guiding the tilt movement of the front panel(125); and a limit switch for stopping the tilt movement of the front panel(125) by detecting the open state of the front panel(125), and transmitting the electric signal to an electric control unit. As a result, the car audio cassette maximizes the size of the display unit. In addition, when the light is externally incident, the contents displayed on the display unit are easily distinguished.
