INJECTION CONTAINING HIGH CONCENTRATION OF POWDERED EXTRACT OF AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM LEAVES FOR TREATMENT OF SWELLING AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE: An injection containing high concentration of the powdered extract of Aesculus hippocastanum leaves for the treatment of swelling is provided to increase solubility of the powdered extract by adding tonicity adjustment agent and cellulose powder to remove material inducing precipitation and followed by properly mixing antioxidant, stabilizing agent, solubilizing agent and pH adjustment agent etc. CONSTITUTION: An injection comprises 1.36-1.84 wt% of the powdered extract of Aesculus hippocastanum leaves as an effective ingredient, and 1-10 pts.wt% (based on the extract) of the antioxidant, 5-100 pts.wt% (based on the extract) of the stabilizing agent and 100-1000 pts.wt% (based on the extract) of the solubilizing agent. Also, a method for preparing the injection comprises the steps of: dissolving and adding the solubilizing agent to the powdered extract; adding tonicity adjustment agent and cellulose powder to remove material inducing precipitation and then filtering the absorbed material; dissolving and adding the stabilizing agent, pH adjustment agent and distilled water to the filtered solution; and filtering the solution and then filling a glass ampul with the solution.
