The zeolite according to the present invention comprises a rare earth and has a co-crystal structure of ZSM-5 and ZSM-11, wherein the weight ratio of the part having the ZSM-5 crystal structure to the part having the ZSM-11 crystal structure is 0.1-10. X-ray diffraction pattern of Table 1 in the form of sodium-zeolite, represented by the mole ratio of oxygen atoms in the anhydrous state at the time of synthesis is 0.1-1.0Na ₂ O.0.01-1.0RE ₂ O ₃ ㆍ Al ₂ O ₃ 20-300 SiO ₂ . The zeolite according to the present invention has the property of being stable to acidic hydrothermal action and hardly contaminated with impurities, and is useful as a catalyst for various hydrocarbon conversion reactions.
