FIELD: hydraulic systems using flow of liquids for forming flow oscillations; mechanical engineering; chemical, oil production and mining industries; medicine and other industries. SUBSTANCE: hydrodynamic oscillator has housing with vortex chamber mounted on it. Vortex chamber has twisting passage and outlet nozzle; oscillator is also provided with delivery main brought in communication with twisting passages. Vortex chamber is provided with central body mounted in spaced relation to side wall. Oscillator is provided with adjustable-elasticity chamber brought in communication with vortex chamber via straight-way holes. Chamber may be hydraulically connected with medium being treated by means of connecting passage for extension of operational capabilities. For optimization of overall dimensions and hydraulic parameters of chamber, twisting passages on side of outlet nozzle are made in additional chamber communicated with vortex chamber via circular passage. Invention is based on specific interaction of liquid vortices. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to extended range of frequencies, increased amplitude of pressure and flow rate fluctuation; extended range of operation; enhanced reliability and stability of operation of equipment in case of change of mode of oscillator operation. 11 cl, 6 dwg
