A shut-off valve, having a passage lining seal (4) enclosed by a clamp (7, 8) for radial seal adjustment, is new. A shut-off fitting has a rotary blocking disk mounted in a passage channel which is lined with a seal especially of U-shape with its base seated on the channel wall and its arms seated on the housing. The novelty is that the seal (4), especially its base, is enclosed by a clamping system (7, 8) to permit radial adjustment of the seal.
