A stabilized carbon monoxide copolymer (I) comprises (A) a random or alternating carbon monoxide copolymer, (B) an inorganic metal salt, (C) a metal deactivating chelate, (D) a lactone, optionally substituted and (E) optionally additives. Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the production of (I) by mixing dry components (A)-(D) and melt forming a stabilized molding composition; (ii) fiber, film and molded articles prepared from (I).
