The plate shaped blank with at least one natural stone layer (1) joined to a shaped polyurethane component (7) is characterized by the fact that the polyurethane component consists of at least two layers (3, 5) lying on top of one another, with the layer (5) having a higher hardness than at least one soft layer (3). Also claimed are a method of producing the proposed blank, and a tub shaped object consisting of such blanks. The method involves production of a shaped polyurethane component located between two carrier plates (4), with the top carrier plate provided at least in parts with an adhesive layer (2) for attachment of a natural stone layer (1).
