Between the inlet (10) and outlet (14) the fluid passes through a system of channels (12) coated in absorbent (16) on the outside. The inlet has a flow distributor (11) and the outlet a return manifold (13), the two connected via the channels (12). The channel tubes run parallel and use their heat conducting elements (15) to increase the exchange surface, the elements formed by strips linking the tubes to one another. The channels are coated with solid or gel absorbent (16) or again the absorbent is crystalized onto the tubes. When using powder absorbent, this is mechanically or chemically fixed to the tube. The absorbent can also be bonded to the channel tubes or held in sac or container round the tube exteriors. Prefered absorbent is silica gel, zeolyte, fluid, gas or molecular sieve.
