PURPOSE: To obtain the composition excellent in detergency, also excellent in environmental compatibility with ready biodegradability, suitable for washing glass hardwares, metals, etc., by incorporating an alkali metal hydroxide as the chief ingredient with a specific aldohexose. ;CONSTITUTION: This composition is obtained by incorporating (A) as the chief ingredient, an alkali metal hydroxide such as sodium hydroxide with (B) as active ingredient(s), at least one kind of aldohexose among D-glucose, D-mannose and D-galactose, and in addition, pref. (C) as another active ingredient, a water- soluble metal salt such as iron chloride or sodium aluminate with the molar ratio B/C of (1:0.1) to (1:1) in terms of metal ion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
