PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of collecting a part of tea leaves during a tea manufacturing process to the outside of a rolling chamber as a sample at any time and simply and surely measuring the moisture. SOLUTION: This apparatus for measuring moisture is equipped with a sampling collection case 3 comprising an opening opened and installed in a sidewall of a rolling chamber a base, a left and a right sidewalls, a freely advancing and retreating rear wall 8 and the opened front, capable of collecting tea leaves 4 for a sample in a state of the retreated rear wall 8 of the sample collection case 3 and provided with a pressing plate 10 for the tea leaves 4 for the sample capable of regulating a pressing force with an air cylinder 9 arranged in the upper side relatively to the base and capable of measuring the moisture in the tea leaves 4 for the sample while applying the constant pressing force to the collected tea leaves 4 for the sample. Furthermore the apparatus for measuring the moisture is designed to push the rear wall 8 of the sampling collection case 3 after completing the measurement and thereby return the tea leaves 4 for the sample from the opened front part into the interior of the rolling chamber.
