PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture content measuring apparatus and a moisture content measurement method of tea leaves for accurately measuring the tea leaves having a high moisture content by using a microstrip line.;SOLUTION: The moisture content measuring apparatus comprises accommodation space S for accommodating the tea leaves; the microstrip line 10 for forming the propagation line of microwaves; a detection means 15 for detecting the amount of attenuation and the amount of phase shift in microwaves being generated by the absorption of microwaves in moisture contents contained in the tea leaves in the accommodation space S in a process for propagating through the microstrip line 10; and a calculation means 16 for determining the ratio of the amount of attenuation to the amount of phase shift of the microwaves being detected by the detection means and for calculating the moisture content based on the ratio.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
