METHOD FOR MEASURING CONTENT VOLUME OF GAS SUPPLY LINE AND LEAK VOLUME, AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically measure the content volume of a gas supply line and gas leak volume while using no personnel, without stopping the supply of gas. ;SOLUTION: Pressure P1 within the gas supply line 7 is measured just before a gas (a) for measurement with pressure slightly higher than a predetermined pressure to which another gas is adjusted is forced into the gas supply line 7 into which the latter gas is supplied, and the gas (a) for measurement is forced into the gas supply line at a constant flow rate (l/sec) for a period of t1 hour, after which the supply of the gas (a) for measurement is shut off while pressure P2 within the gas supply line 7 is measured. After a period of t2 hours has elapsed, the internal pressure P3 of the gas supply line 7 is measured, and the content volume V of the gas supply line 7 and the quantity of gas Q2 leaking from the gas supply line are computed on the basis of those data.
