PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for a lid body to be mounted on an opening part of an underground common ditch for burying an optical communication cable and a telephone cable. ;SOLUTION: A lid receive chamber is provided in an upper part of a storage chamber having a female screw hole, a stepped part is formed on an upper face between a lower recessed part and an upper recessed part provided in lower parts of a peripheral wall of an upper cylinder forming a water drain ditch in the vertical direction in the female screw hole and a lower cylinder, and a water drain hole is provided around a bearing hole provided at the center of a bottom face part of the lower cylinder. A cylindrical body provided at a terminal of a latching piece protruding to the outside from the lower recessed part or the upper recessed part is stored in the lower cylinder, and an operation shaft having a fitting recessed part in a head part at an upper end is screwed-fitted into a screw hole of the lower cylinder so as to turn. A cylinder lock having a locking part piece capable of coming in and out in the radial direction is mounted in the storage chamber of the upper cylinder. A cap whose upper face is formed into a rough face is fitted in the lid receive chamber of the upper cylinder so as to take it out, a fitting part which is fitted in the fitting recessed part of the operation shaft and is turned in the peripheral direction and a handle piece are formed at one end, and a jig for opening and closing having a magnet which is magnetized on the upper face of the cap to take it out of the lid receive chamber at the other end is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
