PROCESSOR HAVING FUNCTION CONVERTING INSTRUCTION LOOP COMPOSED OF SCALAR INSTRUCTION CODE CONTAINING REGRESSION REFFERENCE INTO VECTOR CODE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the program executive ability by converting the instruction loop which is conventionally compiled in scalar code because of containing regression reference into vector code in a processor using dynamic information. SOLUTION: As for the inputted scalar instruction code string, the regression reference determining device which detects being the instruction loop containing regression reference, an operator which detects the part where definition of arrangement and reference are over lapping in the instruction loop containing regression reference, vectorizing device which converts inputted instruction code string into vector instruction code string based on output of regression reference determining device and output of processor, and the loop memory holding generated vector instruction code string are provided in the processor.
