PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a hygienic earthen wall and effectively make use of a large quantity of deep soil layer dug out in a foundation work in a construction site for a building or the like by using clay obtained from the deep soil layer irrespecive of pollution. ;SOLUTION: In an earthen wall of a Japanese tyle building, a bamboo lath 2 is fixed to a batten 6 fixed to a column 5 by a connecting material like a straw rope or the like. primecoat 1, intermediate coat 3, and finish coat 4 are sequentially applied on both faces of the bamboo lath 2 to constitute the earthen wall. As the wall clay for the primecoat 1, clay containing 50% or more fine particles as fine as 74 μ obtained from a deep soil layer below a secondary layer of ground is used and straw is used as a binder. It is mixed with water and applied. As the intermedium coat 3, two times or more sand in the volume compared with the wall clay is mixed with the wall clay and further, as the finish coat 4, plaster which is used at present is used. Accordingly, a hygienic earthen wall made of clay in a deep soil irrelative of pollution can be constructed and a large quantity of the deep soil layer dug out in a foundation work at a construction site like a building can be effectively used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
