PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit or remove an embroidery fabric holding frame quickly at the replacement of a bobbin thread in an embroidery sewing machine and to firmly hold the position precision before a release even after the embroidery fabric holding frame is fitted again.;SOLUTION: A plurality of coupling pins E and lugs F are arranged in parallel on the outside face of a holder D moved in the vertical direction in a carriage C, a groove 18 is carved at the middle of each coupling pin E, its tip section is formed into a drill shape, and each lug F is made lower than the coupling pin E. A connecting plate H is attached on one side face of the outer frame 2g of the embroidery fabric holding frame G, and connecting holes to be inserted with the coupling pins formed on the holder are bored on the connecting plate. A meshing plate is vertically slidably disposed between the connecting plate and an outer frame, and a spring wire is arranged below the meshing plate to invariably push the meshing plate upward.
