PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dancer roll mechanism capable of highly accurate control of tension to be applied to a conveyed web. ;SOLUTION: A support part 74 for supporting a roller 90 in a dancer roll device 30, 60 is provided with a ball screw 94 and a weight member 106 for changing a position of the center of gravity of the support part 74. The weight member 106 is moved by driving the ball screw 94 rotated by a motor 100, according to this movement, the position of the center of gravity of the support part 74 is moved.
