PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold an automobile on a parking position with respect to the automobile in a parking state, by preventing the movement of the automobile from being interrupted by a parking brake mechanism when the automobile is moved in a state that one of front and rear wheels are lifted to be pulled while grounding the other wheels on a road surface. ;SOLUTION: A transfer 24 comprises a power transmission switching means 24a and a speed switching means 24b. When an ignition control device is turned off by an ignition switch, an automobile is switched to a two-wheel driving condition 2WD by the power transmission switching means 24a in accompany with the turning-off of the ignition control device under a condition that a high-speed condition Hi is selected by the speed switching means 24b. When a low-speed condition Lo is selected by the speed switching means 24b, a four- wheel driving condition 4WD is switched by the power transmission switching means 24a in accopany with the switching to the low-speed condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
