METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PREPARING SUMMARY SENTENCE AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING SUMMARY SENTENCE PREPARATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the choices of information for a user by selecting the template of a sentence to be generated corresponding to the attribute of a selected summary word and generating a summary sentence by embedding the summary word in that template. ;SOLUTION: In a step 1, an input text including a title, a text and charts or input information from the user is inputted and in a step 2, the structure of the inputted input text or input information is analyzed. In a step 3, the appearance places of words in the input text or input information, an importance degree, important words and the attribute of that importance degree or the like are extracted while using an important word definition table defining the importance degree of a word on the basis of the appearance position and the modification relation of the word and in a step 4, the summary word to be used for the summary sentence is selected by weighing the extracted important word corresponding to the place of appearance and the degree of importance. In a step 5, the template of the sentence to be generated is selected corresponding to the attribute of the selected summary word and in a step 6, the summary sentence is generated by embedding the summary word in the selected template.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
