PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split mold apparatus for vulcanization of a tire which can prevent a rubber for an unvulcanized tire from being bitten between tread mold parts and can extend life of the mold and can attempt to improve quality of the tire, to achieve cost reduction and to improve productivity.;SOLUTION: In a split mold apparatus 2 in which a mold M made by splitting a tread mold part Mt movable in the radial direction into a plurality of split molds M split in the peripheral direction is internally mounted, the tread mold part Mt consists of the first tread mold part wherein both side split faces being brought into contact with each other when the diameter is contracted are formed into inclined faces and the second tread mold part wherein they are formed into parallel faces and the constituting is made in such a way that when the diameter of the tread mold part Mt is contracted, the second tread mold part is moved in the radial direction later than movement of the first tread mold part inward in the radial direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
