DEODORANT AND FOOD AND DRINK CONTAINING THE SAME, COMPOSITION FOR ORAL CAVITY AND TOILETRIES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant which is a deodorant having good gustation with substantially no influence on the intrinsic taste of food and drink, etc., in spite of use of a large amount in the food and drink and a composition for oral cavities and has a high deodorization effect to various odorous components even in a wide rang of pH regions. SOLUTION: The pyrolyzed matter of the palatinose obtained by heating palatinose to 120 to 240 deg.C is used as an effective component of the deodorant. Also, 6-(-D-glucopyranosiloxy)-1,3,4-trihydroxyhexa-5-en-2-one, 5-[(-D- glucopyranosiloxy)methyl]-2-furancarboxaldehyde or their mixture is used as the effective component of the deodorant.
