PURPOSE: The method for testing a NO.7 signaling link path by sections in an exchange of a mobile communications system is provided to increase the stability and reliability of a NO.7 signaling link by separating and testing a NO.7 signaling link path according to each of the sections of an ASS-7(Access Switching Subsystem-7), an ASS-S(Access Switching Subsystem-Switch) and an ASS-T(Access Switching Subsystem-Trunk) so that an operator can rapidly catch NO.7 signaling link activation fault factors. CONSTITUTION: An operator selects a doubtful path and inputs a command to test the selected path(S10). In case that a path 1 that reaches from an ASP(Access Switching Processor) to an RA(Rate Adaption) unit is selected(S20), a CPU that tests the selected path requests a loop to a signal terminal(S21) and receives a response for the loop request(S22). The CPU judges whether the response result is OK(S23). If it is judged that the response result is OK, the CPU transmits a packing message to the signal terminal(S24). The CPU receives back the packing message along the loop path(S25). The CPU judges whether a receiving result of the packing message is OK(S26). If the result is OK, the CPU outputs that the test result for the path 1 is OK(S27). In case that it is not OK, the CPU outputs a fail reason(S28).
