The present invention relates to a liposome-associated prostaglandin in a method of treating cell activation / sorption syndrome in a mammal, including a human. Such cellular activation / adsorption syndrome may include reperfusion injury, septic shock, extrinsic infarction, ARDS, rheumatic vasculitis, histiocytosis, lupus, traumatic shock, burn or stenosis after renal vasculature, etc. Wherein the prostaglandin is captured in the liposome.
