The thin film magnetoresistive component has one or more resistances (1-4) formed by magnetoresistive circuit elements (1.1-4.3) mounted on a film bearer (5) in a first plane with mutually parallel axes. High conductivity conducting layer strips (10-15) are arranged in a second plane as control conductors. The output voltage of the component is a function of the squares of one or more input voltages. An Independent claim is also included for a use of a magnetoresistive component to produce a null-symmetric output voltage with half period length.
