The system has a fan (6) driven separately from the oil pump and that produces a periodic signal that drives and opens a magnetically actuated fuel valve, whereby the injection quantity required for the demanded heating power is determined by the number of pulses and the duration of the opening period and is independent of the quantity of fuel delivered by the oil pump.
