Synergistic active substance combinations of: (a) at least one quaternary ammonium compound and/or alkylpyridinium sa and (b) at least one inorganic antiperspirant are new. Synergistic active substance combinations of: (a) at least one quaternary ammonium compound and/or alkylpyridinium sa and (b) at least one inorganic antiperspirant are new. The quaternary ammonium compounds and alkylpyridinium salts have formulae N+(R1)(R2)(R3)(R4) (I) and (II), respectively: R1 and R2 = CH3 or C2H5; R3, R5 = 1-18C alkyl; R4 = 8-18C alkyl; or 7-18C aralkyl; and X- = inorganic or organic anion. An Independent claim is included for cosmetic and dermatological preparations for foot care containing the active substance combination.
