For central- or group-contacting of ribbon conductors and flexible printed circuits, a simplified procedure is made possible by the provision of the required blanks on the cable and flexible printed circuits to be contacted and enables a simple contacting tool to be used during the contacting procedure, such that with a single working step all the contacts lying in one row are contacted and the tool does not undergo any wear or tear, as with crimping and riveting tools.
