The power unit comprises a control unit (190) able to: (a) calculate power needed for the thermal engine (150); (b) measure rotational speed of a driving shaft (112) and compare speed to authorized rotational speed for electric engines (MG1, MG2); (c) define running states of electric engines so that they release output torque equals to zero, and rotational speed equal to rotational speed of driving shaft so as to set running state for thermal engine; and (d) drive the thermal engine, power regulators, and electric engines based on running states. Independent claims are also included for: (a) the control method for power unit; and (b) the hybrid vehicle.
