The device has a long spacer rod (10) with a hook part (20) in the middle and fixing devices to secure it to the front side of a surfer's body. At least one end of the rod has fixing parts (31,32) that can be separately uncoupled from it. The fixing parts can preferably be coupled in different positions and has a long part that fits in a recess in the spacer rod. The spacer rod is preferably hollow. An Independent claim is included for a trapezoid part including the device.
