PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition for cleaning molds small in a bad odor and excellent in cleaning effect by incorporating specified amounts of guanidine base compounds, salicylic acid and the salt of salicylic acid into natural rubber and synthetic rubber. ;SOLUTION: By weight, 100 pts.wt. rubber constituted of natural rubber and/or synthetic rubber is incorporated with 5 to 20 pts.wt. guanidine base compounds, salicylic acid and/or the salt of salicylic acid to compose a rubber composition for cleaning molds. As the synthetic rubber, ethylene-propylene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber are used. As the guanidine base compounds, dicatechol borate, diphenylguanidine, dicyandiamide or the like are used. As the salt of salicylic acid, magnesium salicylate is used. This rubber composition is moreover blended with working auxiliaries such as lubricants or the like, filler such as carbon, silica or the like, softeners, plasticizers, vulcanizing agents or the like blended into general vulcanized rubber according to necessary. This composition is formed into a sheet, is filled into a mold, is vulcanized and is thereafter removed from the mold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
