Flame detection and burnup diagnostic device

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for detecting a flame and diagnosing combustion wherein no sharp reduction of the amount of light is produced and wherein combustion diagnosis and flame detection are performed using the same optical probe and relay light fibers. ;CONSTITUTION: A flame 2 produced from a burner 1 is detected by an optical probe 3 and is fed to a spectrophotometric/photoelectric conversion part 30. The spectrophotometric/photoelectric conversion part 30 decomposes the introduced light to one or more of monochromatic lights (6 in an illustrated example) having different wavelengths, each monochromatic light being converted to an electric signal proportional to the amount of the light. These electric signals are inputted into a low-pass filter 40 and a band-pass filter 60 where a DC component and an AC component with a predetermined frequency are taken out, and a combustion diagnosis part 50 performs combustion diagnosis based upon the DC component and a flame detection part 70 performs flame detection based upon the AC component.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
