PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the forcing culture of tulip to enable the appreciation of the growth and flowering of the tulip for as long as about 50 days during the growth of the tulip. SOLUTION: This method for the forced culture of tulip comprises the dormancy breaking treatment of a tulip bulb of floral differentiated state by refrigerating the bulb in a dark place at 43 deg.C for a prescribed period of from 6 weeks to 9 weeks, the plantation of the dormancy broken tulip bulb in a pot, the rooting and sprouting treatment of the bulb in a dark place at 7-11 deg.C for =1 week and the growth of the tulip by keeping the pot holding the planted tulip bulb in a warm atmosphere under natural light and/or artificial natural light until the sprout emerged from the bulb is grown to =2 cm. The dormancy breaking period A1 (week) and the rooting and sprouting period B1 (week) satisfy the relationship of 11A1 +(1/2B1 )=7.
