PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atmospheric contaminated substance capturing device that easily measures acid gases such as nitrogen oxide, sulfuric oxide, ozone, aldehyde, CO, and CO2 in atmosphere and contaminated substances such as a base gas to measure the contamination of an atmospheric contaminated substance, and can be mounted to clothes. SOLUTION: A device with less influence due to a wind speed consists of a box-type container with a window 1c that is released to atmosphere, an absorption layer 2 where the absorption agent of an atmospheric contaminated substance being accommodated in the container 1 is impregnated, and a diffusion layer 3 that is included between the window 1c and the absorption layer 2 of the container 1. In this case, a porous body with a continuous hole consisting of at least one type out of polyfluorocarbon resin, ultramacromolecular polyethylene resin, and polypropylene resin is used as a diffusion layer 3. Then, the absorption layer 2 and/or the diffusion layer 3 are washed and/or dried under an environment where they cannot be exposed to atmospheric substance at all or cannot be exposed to it so easily, thus improving water repellency.
