PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber array substrate in which the positioning of an optical fiber in a substrate thickness direction can be done only by adjusting the aperture width of a groove without requiring the adjustment of the depth of the groove for positioning the optical fiber in the substrate thickness direction.;SOLUTION: A plurality of grooves 2 for positioning and aligning a plurality of optical fibers to be formed on a substrate 1 are constituted so as to support each optical fiber 10 by corner parts 3a, 3b formed on both the ends of the aperture part of each groove.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
