PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone that can disconnect only a communication function while keeping attached functions other than a speech function available.;SOLUTION: The portable telephone 1 is provided with an antenna 10 that transmits and/or receives a signal, a transmission reception changeover switch 11 that selects transmission or reception, a low noise amplifier 12 that amplifies the received signal, a DOWN-converter 13 that converts the frequency of the received signal into the frequency of a base band signal, an UP converter 14 that converts the frequency of the base band signal into the transmission frequency, a power amplifier 15, a base band controller 16, and also a communication interruption circuit 17 that interrupts input and output of the signal to the DOWN converter 13 and signal from the UP converter 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
