PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding route displaying method for on-vehicle navigators which indicates main points on a guiding route in an enlarged view (schematic diagram) to make a user previously recognize the situations of the main points on the guiding route.;SOLUTION: The displaying method comprises a step for searching for a guiding route, extracting main points between a departure point and a destination, and displaying an enlarged view (schematic diagram) of the main points in displaying the guiding route on a display. The main points extracted in an initial state include a departure point, a destination, road names on the guiding route, road name changing points on the guiding route, tollgates of toll roads, interchanges of highways, main facilities along the guiding road, etc., and the user may set main points.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
