PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide home vegetable-growing units that are set up on the balcony or in the garden and allowed to grow many kinds of vegetables and herbs for cooking through the cultivation method to which the grower can have the sense of security, for example, the pesticide-free farming or the organic growing where the temperature and the water spraying are automatically controlled and the plants can simply be grown. SOLUTION: The ceiling plate, both of the side plates and the back face plate made of an optically transmitting material are set to the frame 11 and the double- leafed front doors 15 made of an optically transparent material are attached through each hinge 16 so that the biparting doors may be opened toward both the left and right sides. The inside space of the frame is used as the plant-growing chamber 20 and a plurality of growing shelves 2 are provided to arbitrarily different vertical positions and the containers 25 for the plant growing are set so that they may be inclined forward. Then, the tank unit 3 is connected to the lower part of the frame, water is fed to the tank 31 and the tank is equipped with the heater 35, the water temperature sensor 36 and the pump 41 and the container is sprayed with water or water flows are sprinkled to the back plate of the growing chamber whereby the water feed and the temperature are controlled.
