PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens substrate which is obtainable a high contrast ratio and transmissivity when used in a liquid crystal panel or the like.;SOLUTION: The microlens substrate 1 has a substrate 2 for microlenses with recessed parts in which plural recessed parts 3 possessing recessed curved surfaces are formed on a glass substrate 29, a resin layer 9 which is arranged on the side that the recessed parts 3 of this substrate 2 for microlenses with recessed parts are arranged, a surface layer 8 arranged on this resin layer 9, and also in the resin layer 9, microlenses 4 are formed by a resin filled inside the recessed parts 3. Relating to the recessed parts 3, the curvature radius of outer peripheral parts 32 is larger than that of central parts 31.
