Treatment of oppositional defiant disorder with norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors

Oppositional defiant disorder may be treated with a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Particularly preferred norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors are tomoxetine, reboxetine, duloxetine, venlafaxine, milnacipran, and a compound of formula I, wherein X is C1-C4 alkylthio, and Y is C1-C2 alkyl.
