The invention relates to a method for the ultra-fast acquisition of images, which uses an image sensor (2), specifically a CCD type sensor, comprising a photosensitive matrix zone having semiconductors (2a) which transforms and accumulates light energy in the form of electric charges, and electronic control means (2') designed to transfer and possibly digitize the electric charges accumulated by the photosensitive zone.
