The kitchen furniture top retaining clamp has a one-piece clamp strip (1) of an elastic material, e.g. spring steel which, at one end, grips the straight edge lip (5') of the top panel. The other end (1'') of the clamp strip is tensioned around a projection (2) on the lower part (4) of the furniture.
