A negative ion generator capable of easily producing a large amount of clusterions having negative and positive ions mixed with each other and separatingonly negative ions for use, comprising a plurality of annular flow passagesdisposed parallel with each other and allowed to communicate with each otherin circumferential direction so as to generate negative ions more effectively,mixed flow passages having a plurality of inlets and outlets formed in theannular flow passages so that the positions of inlets and outlets in theannular passages are displaced in circumferential direction and a plurality ofcommunication flow passages allowing the inlets and the outlets formed in thedifferent annular flow passages to communicate with each other, and fluiddelivery and discharge flow passages allowed to communicate with the mixedflow passages, characterized in that a spray nozzle is connected to thedelivery flow passage and a gas-liquid separator is connected to the dischargeflow passage; a negative ion generating system, characterized in that theplurality of negative ion generators are connected to one system of air feedpiping.
