An electrode member for retinal stimulation capable of focusing an actually transmitted picture image without pressing a retina over an unnecessarily wide range, and an artificial retinal device using the electrode member; the electrode member (1), comprising electrodes (2) disposed vertically and laterally in a matrix, support parts (3) for holding the electrodes (2) at specified positions, and fixing pins (4) for fixing the support parts (3) to a strong film (A) at four corners, the fixing pins (4) further comprising positioning projected parts (5) allowing the tip portions (2A) of the electrodes (2) to come into contact with a retinal ganglionic retina (C) when the support parts (3) are fixed onto the retina and stopping the entire surface of the opposed surface (3A) to come into contact with the retina (F), wherein the electrodes (2) are installed in needle shape projectedly from the opposed surfaces (3A) of the support parts (3) to the retina (F).
