A shift actuating control system for a synchromesh-type automatic transmission includes a shift actuator (10) having a driving portion (12) activated depending on a shift operation, a shift fork shaft (15) moving a sleeve (16) of a synchromesh mechanism (55) in an axial direction when engaged with a shift fork of the shift fork shaft (15), and a driving force transmitting member (20) disposed between the driving portion (12) and the shift fork shaft (15) to transmit the driving force generated by the driving portion (12) to the shift fork shaft (15). The shift actuating control system for the synchromesh-type automatic transmission further includes a detector (25) which detects the deflection of the driving force transmitting member (20) when the driving portion (12) is activated, and a controller (27) which controls the driving portion (12) depending on the deflection detected by the detector (25).
