PURPOSE: To provide a band feeding length adjustment device in a packing machine in which a band is manually pulled out to cause a length having a band feeding length adjusted to be inputted newly to a control segment and to enable a band having a correct length to be fed out from a subsequent time in the case that a size of packed item is changed from a small size to a large size. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of holes 24 are arranged in a predetermined clearance at a side surface of a touch roller 22 constituting either a band supplying means A or a band reversing means B. A sensor 25 for use in sensing the holes 24 is arranged near the touch roller 22. When a pulling-out amount of a band D drawn out of a band reel 28 is lack, a band having a length corresponding to the amount of lack is drawn out manually from the band reel and at the same time, the hole 24 in the moving touch roller 22 along with this motion is detected by the sensor 25, a result of this sensing operation is supplied to a control segment 29 and a band length required for a subsequent band feeding is automatically adjusted.
