PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for flapping a flag using air are provided to make the flag to flap continuously and powerfully even in a windless day, thus bring the symbolism contained in the flag into relief. CONSTITUTION: In the apparatus for flapping a flag(10) using air, a small diameter support pipe(2) is extended from the lower end of a flag pole(3), and a fixing pipe(5) into which the support pipe is rotatably fitted through a bearing(4) is fixed to the upper end of a flag hoisting stand(6). A connection pipe(8) is installed inside the support pipe through a bearing(7), and the lower end of the connection pipe is coupled with an air hose(9) to construct an air supply device. Plural air ejection nozzles(11) are installed on the flag pole.
