PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spherical AIN particles capable of being used as filler particles directing high filling property and high thermal conductivity, precise compared to conventional ones and high in AIN content for making high thermal conductivity and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided spherical AIN particles containing a compound of one or more kinds of La, Dy and Er, a compound of Si and AIN, with percentages of total 0.01 to 0.5 wt.% of the compound of one or more kinds of La, Dy and Er in terms of oxide, 0.01 to 0.5 wt.% of the compound of Si in terms of SiOand 80 wt.% or more of the AIN, and having a relative density of 90% or more of theoretical density and circularity of 0.85 to 1.00.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
